Taking a break...
I've been learning so much over the past 6 months in Photography that I was becoming frustrated with my results.
I know the kids are frustrated too... they are so sick of hearing Mommy say "Just one more time.... Pllleeeeeeaasse!"
I only have one good window for light and the background is too busy so I'm always annoyed with the background in my pictures.
I just need Spring. I can't wait to be able to go outside and take pictures. I think I need this break to let everything "absorb" into my brain... then once Spring comes I'll be ready to go all over again. and better than before.

Higher SS
I'm excited to start playing with higher SS, I'm glad I figured this out before Spring!! I just can't wait until Spring... My poor kids think they hate the camera now... just wait!!!!
SS125
f 2.0
ISO400
I tried PSing the little rash on his chin, but I just could't get it to look natural. I never even noticed that was there, but the camera picked it up.

3 lessons learned
Today I learned 3 new things.
1. When I shoot Mason and Abby... I like SS 80 or 100 MUCH better than 60. For some reason I would always use 60 and then choose an Ap for correct exposure. Today I use the Tv mode and SS100... I learned so much, and I got better exposures (since I was cheating)
2. I love the High Pass Filter in CS2. For some reason the defog and sharpen just don't work as well, and the eyes get so much more depth after running the high pass filter.I'm still begging Mason for pictures, but the sun is going down so I don't see it happening today. :(
3. I get too close in camera. Then when I go to crop I don't have enough picture on the side or on the top and I end up with some strange crop. I have to stand back... I had to get used to move closer and now I have to move back again. Is there a happy medium? :)

2 Eyes in Focus??
I would have really sharp eyes if my kids were Cyclopse... but, unfortunately they have 2 eyes... and I have to get them both in focus. Ugh. So I'm trying... Opening the Apeture to 2.8 even with super low light (like here in the bathroom). ISO 1600. What a mess. Natural light makes for such better pictures.

Guess what I did today....
:)
I wish I had time to do the Photo a Day project. I really enjoy taking my camera with me around the house... even if I'm just doing laundry. There is always something to take a picture of. I just don't like taking it out of the house for fear that I would drop it or someone would steal it.
Anyways, I need to go finish that last load. ;)
